COVID 19 & Audio Visual
How Audio Visual Technology Has Brought People Together
Audio Visual Technology is more than just speakers in a ballroom or projectors in a meeting room. Audio Visual Technology is engrained in so many different things. From the technology used in platforms like Zoom to autonomous cars, it is everywhere. The question is now that AV technology is playing such an important part in the day to day lives of the population where will it go now.
Digital Signage
Lately, digital signage has grown to become a huge part of everyday lives. Although it has longed been used to deliver brand messages the technology has evolved so much over the past few months. Companies like FocalPoint Vital Sign have added thermal screening system to their digital display signs. Now they take on a dual purpose of allowing people to self-screen and advertisers a chance to get their messaging in front of people.
Drive-in Movie Theaters
For other parts of the country people have been experiencing AV Technology in an "old way". Once thought to have gone the way of polar icebergs Drive-in movie theatres have made a comeback. Some AV companies have found work in helping cities put on a drive-in theatre. As a much safer alternative to having a night out drive-in theatres are popping up all around the county again, including near Orlando. One of the closest ones next to the city beautiful is the West Volusia Drive-In. Some places are using AV rentals found near them through local AV companies.
Virtual Stages
Virtual Stages have become one of the biggest driving forces in content creation for the past few months. With travel all but halted many Audio Visual companies and film studies are using a technology called Extended Reality. Extended reality is where a studio uses high resolution LED walls, LED floors, and 360-degree virtual backgrounds that are rendered in Unreal Engine to create an immersive experience. These stages are allowing shows like Disney's Mandalorian to be recorded and produced.
These are just a few examples of how AV Technology Providers and AV Rental Companies are helping people stay connected in today's COVID world. But the AV industry isn't done changing and adapting. New technologies are being combined and pushed to their limits to take experiences to the next level. When in-person events do resume and event planners are looking for an AV company to help them, companies that have used this time to push the creative and technological boundaries are going to be the ones that are reaping the benefits.
